Rejoice Christian Schools is proud to offer beginning and intermediate band programs. During the 2010-2011 school year, each band performed two concerts. The 6th Grade Beginning Band performed a December concert with the songs “Up on the Housetop,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas,” and “Good King Wenceslas.”  For the spring concert in May, the 6th Grade Band played the songs “Sawmill Creek,” “Montego Bay,” “Regal March,” “America, the Beautiful,” and “1812 Overture Theme.”  The Middle/High School Band assisted the RCS Drama Department in their performances of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” and “The Music Man Jr.”

“Students involved in music have a better understanding of mathematics.  Not to mention the social bonuses!  Students learn ways to properly communicate in group settings, nurture confidence, and build lasting friendships in an intimate classroom setting,”
