We have presented an option for learning at home for K5-5th grade students called Rejoice HomeSchool.
It is for those students/families that are concerned about COVID-19 because of a compromising health situation.

Arrival & Drop-Off
New arrival/drop-off procedures are being enacted to promote social distancing. At arrival, student
temperatures will be checked with a no-touch, digital thermometer while they are in their car. If any person has
a temperature greater than 100.0°F, then he/she will not be allowed to enter the building.
Staff and teachers are required to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms before coming onto campus each day.
Each day parents must ensure they do not send a child to school if the child has COVID-19 symptoms or has had direct/close contact with an individual who is positive with COVID-19 until the 14-day incubation period has ended.
Both the parent and the student will have their temperature checked with a no-touch, digital thermometer. If any person has a temperature greater than 100.0°F, then he/she will not be allowed to enter the building. If any student has a temperature greater than 99.0°F, he/she may be checked throughout the day.
At LIGHT BLUE, L2, face coverings will be required for all faculty, staff, and visitors while on campus (exceptions may occur when faculty/staff are alone in a classroom or work space, outdoors, or when teaching with at least a 6’ distance from students). Students on our K5-5th grade campus will not be required to wear face coverings, and may wear face coverings at the preference of their parents. We will be very supportive of your family’s desires, and our faculty will do their best to help your student with his/her face covering. For more information, please see our Face Covering Guidelines.
Our Before-Care program is available starting at 7:15 am for parents who need it. Drop-off and arrival procedures are the same as outlined above, and social distancing protocols will be in place. We ask parents to understand that students in Before-Care will have an “expanded” neighborhood because of potential contact with other students from other classes. While this is normally considered a positive, during this season, we try to minimize contact with students outside their neighborhoods and/or classes.
RCS will be more lenient regarding illness-related absences for the 2020-2021 academic year. If your child is ill, please keep him/her home, and let the nurse on your campus know by 9:00 am. We are blessed to have two full-time RN’s for our students.
