Bible                                                                                                                                                             

Read Matthew 21:1-11. If you have access to a printer, print the Bible coloring page and color it (labeled Blessed in documents). Practice your Bible verse listed on the coloring page. In your email to your teacher, include that this assignment has been completed. If you were able to print the page, include it in your picture with the other assignments.                                         

Reading                                                                                                                                                        

Students need to read daily for at least 15 minutes. At the end of the week, choose one book that you have read.  The student will draw a picture to represent the story. The student will write the title of the book and one sentence about the story. Students, remember when you’re writing a sentence, it begins with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark.  Don’t worry about correct spelling. Write the sounds that you hear in the words and do your best. Continue to work on your sight word lists and read the readers you have at home. As an extra resource, use your class code to access books at https://www.getepic.com/sign-in

Math                                                                                                                                                               

Lesson 1- Watch this video about addition facts    Get a piece of paper and two dice.  Roll the dice and add the two together.  Write down the math equation as you go on your piece of paper.  Repeat 10 times. Once you have finished this assignment, along with the other weekly assignments, take one picture of all assignments and email it to your teacher.

Lesson 2- Follow this link https://classroommagazines.scholastic.com/support/learnathome/grades-prek-k.html  Go to Week 1 Lesson 1 about rabbits.  You will complete the “Movement and Measure” activity.  Email your teacher with a video or picture of you completing this assignment. (If you don’t have tape, use yarn, string, sidewalk chalk or anything else you already have at home.)

Science                                                                                                                                                        

Lesson 1- Follow the link to an animal study on rabbits. https://classroommagazines.scholastic.com/support/learnathome/grades-prek-k.html   You will complete Week 1 Lesson 1 about rabbits.  Click “Take Me There.” This includes both a fiction and non-fiction book and three “puzzlers” (see tabs on the left hand side of webpage). In your email to your teacher, indicate that his assignment has been completed.

After you have watched the video, click the purple tab labeled key words and listen to each vocabulary word.  Next, click the orange tab labeled quiz whiz and complete the quiz.  In your email to your teacher, indicated that this assignment has been completed and tell her how many questions you answered correctly on the quiz.

 Lesson 1- Watch this video .  Complete this scavenger hunt and write each math equation on paper as you go.  Send a picture in your weekly email to your teacher.

 Lesson 2- It’s time to learn your phone number!  Practice by writing your phone number on paper and saying it orally. When this skill is mastered, send a video to your teacher. 

Play the card game “War” with your child. Deal two cards face up (one to you and one to them) whoever has the largest number wins that round. Whoever has the most cards at the end of the deck wins the game. Discuss greater than, less than and equal as you play.  Send a video or picture to your teacher with your weekly email.

Science                                                                                                                                                        

Lesson 1- https://letsfindout.scholastic.com/home-page-logged-out.html  Under the month of March, select the issue titled “A Frog Grows Up”.  Watch the video and complete the game.  

Lesson 2- Follow the link https://classroommagazines.scholastic.com/support/learnathome/grades-prek-k.html  Go to Week 1 Lesson 5 titled “Seasons-Spring.”  Listen to the 2 books provided. Watch the video titled “The Sounds of Spring.”  After you have watched the video, click the purple tab labeled key words and listen to each vocabulary word.  Next, click the orange tab labeled quiz whiz and complete the quiz.  In your email to your teacher, indicated that this assignment has been completed and tell her how many questions you answered correctly on the quiz.

Bible Assignment                                                                                                                     

Read the story, “The Lost Coin,” from the Bible. This is found in Luke 15:8-10.If you have access to a printer, print the Bible coloring page and color it. Practice your Bible verse listed on the coloring page. In your email to your teacher, include that this assignment has been completed. If you were able to print the page, include it in your picture with the other assignments.

 

Math  Assignment                                                                                                            

Watch Jack Hartman’s The Money Song Using a pencil, divide a piece of paper into four sections.  Label each section with coin names and values. Collect coins from your house and sort them accordingly onto the paper.  Talk about the names of the coins and their value while you are sorting. Once you have finished this assignment, along with the other weekly assignments, take one picture of all assignments and email it to your teacher.

 

Science Assignment

Under the month of March, select the issue titled “My Wild Weather.” Watch the video, complete the dance break, and play the game Dressing for the Weather.
