The Mission of Rejoice Christian School is to train our students in Bible-based Christian principles in partnership with parents and in the establishment of a high-quality academic foundation.
COVID-19 has changed our world. But it hasn’t changed our mission!
While we will proceed with school in-person as planned on August 20, it may look different as we adapt to new protocols to provide safety for our students, staff, and extended RCS family. Our promise is to provide a high-quality educational experience, a nurturing environment, and a biblically-based discipleship plan so that our students will be equipped to spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially impact their community and the world for Christ. As we prepare for a safe return to school, we are committed to remaining well-informed by the federal, state, and local health agencies, as well as medical experts regarding latest information on the pandemic – including recommended safety and sanitization strategies. We will remain steadfast to our mission to be Christ-centered and mission-focused while maintaining the well-being of our entire on-campus community. We know there are strong views as to what needs to be done globally, nationally, and locally.
In the midst of all our other goals, RCS seeks to be a light in a dark world, a city on a hill (Matthew 5:14-16). We ask our families to live in an understanding way with others who may have different views (1 Cor 8), and to strive for Christian unity.
You can read more details about our plan here. Information will be updated as our plans continue to be refined.
It’s important for the children to be back at school. And, it is equally important for every student, teacher, and staff member to feel cared for and safe. On the following pages, we hope our care for your children is as evident as our mission to educate them.
We are using two tools to clearly communicate and define the details of our response to any changes in the wellness climate. Because the current situation is both unpredictable and dynamic, we have tried to carefully craft a system that allows for us to respond without causing major shifts in our educational mission and school landscape.
